Came here after a Giants game birthday celebration with a group of friends, we decided to stop by Tony's Coal Fired Pizza & Slice House instead of waiting in the line for the original Tony's. Boy did it hit the spot! It was a nice Lyft bike away from the Giants' stadium, and the place was packed. We ordered a whole Don Giovanni, which came with Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce, Garlic, Aiello Mozzarella, White Onion, Romano, Oregano, Garlic Oil, Sea Salt, and Pepper. The pizza was absolutely fantastic. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of chew, and the combination of toppings was spot on. The vodka tomato cream sauce added a rich, creamy flavor that complemented the mozzarella and Romano cheeses beautifully. The garlic and white onion provided a nice aromatic kick, while the oregano, sea salt, and pepper tied all the flavors together perfectly. We ran into a group who ordered a whole New Yorker and ended up sharing pizzas together! Per usual, perfect crispy, chewy crust, delicious pepperoni & sausage, creamy ricotta cheese, and lots of flavorful seasonings. I highly recommend Tony's Slice House to anyone looking for a spot to grab a quick, easy, delicious slice or whole pie! Simply the best takeout pizza around

Vegan Review! When I say this is the BEST vegan pepperoni pizza I've had in my Life! I've had plenty pepperoni rendition over the years. The cashier was helpful, patient, informative [even added some complimentary mushrooms to support my pitiful vegan butt]. From the airy, perfectly blistered pie crust, great choice of vegan cheese (melty not rubbery), the *pepperoni* was astounding! I was initially hesitant just because I've had so many fake/hyper-processed ones. Elated I took the chance cuz... well, after 1st semi-freaking out that it may have been regular pepperoni (smell & taste was so on-point). Like a good vegan I'd studied & took a mental snapshot of what their meat pepperoni looked like & rested assured). My only gripe was that there was a bit of a wait & price otherwise it'd be 5-stars (nearly $40 for a non-large. vegan toppings do add up!) but I see myself returning & will place this pie in my vegan delicacy rolodex.

Oh my gosh, this was the pizza I had been dreaming about. Slice House has been my favorite pizza chain in San Francisco for years, but this was my first time visiting the ORIGINAL location. I usually go to the location on Haight, or the one on 2nd Street that has been closed down for a few years now. I actually wanted to go to Tony's sit down restaurant next door, but didn't realize that reservations were required. So, I ordered a slice of Hot Tony from the Original Slice House counter, and waited. And waited. And waited. It was actually a very long wait. Finally, I received one of the best slices I've pizza I've ever experienced in my life. The Hot Tony isn't on any online menus that I could find, but based on my photo and my memory, it came loaded with marinara, mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, bell peppers, olives, green onions, and ricotta. I was hoping she'd give me a slice with at least one good dollop of ricotta. I got three, although one sadly dropped onto the street. Every single aspect of this pizza was incredible. The crust, the sauce, and every single one of the toppings was perfect. Rumor has it that Tony spends the most time cooking at this location, which may be why the sauce and crust tasted so much better and more nuanced than usual. Slice House is still my favorite chain, and I think this is my new favorite location.
